Cultural Dancing

Traditional Sri Lankan dances are full of ceremony, folklore, and beauty, and to see a performance in-person is an experience in itself. Get ready as the music, colours, and movement enrapture and draw you in. Originating before Buddhism was introduced to Sri Lanka, the dances are described as being based on folk beliefs of the original indigenous peoples which was an agricultural civilization. Watch as demons and deities play out their stories during a cultural dance.

Kandyan dancing is the most popular traditional dance throughout Sri Lanka, but you can also watch peacock dances, traditional drummers, etc. Feel free to watch a traditional dance at your request; you just need to ask.
